The goal of massage is to help the body heal itself and to increase health and well-being.Having a massage does more than just relax your body and mind. There are specific physiological and psychological changes which occur. It not only feels good, but can cure what ails you!Besides increasing relaxation and decreasing anxiety, massage lowers your blood pressure, increases circulation, improves recovery from injury, helps you sleep better, and can increase your concentration. It reduces fatigue and gives you more energy to handle stressful situations. It also stimulates the flow of lymph, the body's natural defense system, and releases endorphins. Massage is also great for expectant mothers, as it assists with shorter labor, lessens the need for medications, and helps with depression and anxiety.

Today, we mostly walk on hard, man-made surfaces. Orthotic devices alleviate foot, knee, and back pain by simulating the soft contoured surfaces we historically walked on while our feet were evolving.Orthotic devices are beneficial in the prevention of : * Lower back or hip pain* Arthritic conditions of the knee and ankle* Pain in the ball of the foot* Plantar Faciitis * Heel Spurs* Hammertoes* BunionsFor existing conditions, orthotic devices will:* Slow the progression of deformities* Diminish the consequences of poor mechanics* Alleviate discomfort of weight-bearing activities* Enhance performance in sportsThe process begins with a gait analysis and biomechanical evaluation by a Certified Pedorthist. Precise molds of your feet will be taken, and your unique biomechanical information will be applied to the design and fabrication of your custom orthotic devices. When completed, we will fit your orthotics to your footwear and check them for effectiveness and comfort.

The practice of yoga is an integration of breathing and relaxation techniques paired with mindful asanas (physical postures). Yoga is a Sanskrit word that means union, balance or to harmonize. Through a complete practice of yoga, one discovers harmony of the breath and body, and of the heart and mind. It is our hope to share an authentic practice that is richly endowed with classical teachings; a practice that is clear, relatable and uplifting. The classes offered at Revolution will strengthen and stretch muscles throughout the body, inspire peace of mind and an ease and lightness of the spirit. Yoga is beneficial to everyone at any age. The practice has multi-dimensional benefits. It is essential for healthy circulation, and a fundamental complement to all other types of exercise. Other benefits include heightened cognitive functioning, improved balance, increased energy, strength and flexibility as well as an indescribable sense of joyfulness!Yoga will be offered every Tuesday evening (starting July 6th).Classes are 1 hour and cost $15 for the session, with discounts available for students and those excited about committing for several weeks.
